You both come together from different roles: as an artist and a producer. What is the biggest change in your music since working as a duo?
"The adaptation to each other’s styles and influences."
How did your collaboration come about?
"We met at Soho House Amsterdam in 2019 during a demo night. I was living in Berlin at the time, so we just exchanged contact details. In 2021, I moved to Amsterdam and May sent me a DM. After that, we clicked."
What can you create together that you wouldn’t do individually?
"Rave rock: a mix of house, hiphop, and rock. It’s a unique blend that we play in our set. It’s something that’s truly ours."
What surprises you the most about each other’s way of working?
"We have a unique way of working together. While May is working on the instrumentation, I’ll be writing the song. When we’re in flow, it can take anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour to make a song."
Your music moves between indie, hip-hop, pop, R&B, and house. How do you make sure that this variety of genres still feels cohesive on an EP?
"That’s something you’ll have to tune in to find out ;)."
